Ara : A teenage schoolboy boy committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his room in Anaith locality near Kali temple under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur District, in the wee hours on January 8, 2021.
Police broke open the door of the room and took out the body. The deceased was identified as Nikki Kumar, 14, son of Dinesh Yadav of village Dihari under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained though the family members suspected that he was murdered. An FIR was lodged with Nawada police station in this connection and police are investigating the matter. Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Nawada police station, said that a Class X student Nikki Kumar of Dihari village under Sandesh police station lived at a rented house in Anaith locality near a Kali temple under the police station. He committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan in his room in the wee hour on January 8, 2021, the SHO added. On getting information, police reached the spot but they had to face ire of the family members of the deceased.
