Teenage girls drowns in river Ganga at Bhojpur village

Ara : A teenage girl Reshmi Kumari, 15, drowned in river Ganga at Ekauna Ghat on August 12, 2019, morning,while having a dip in the river. Police pressed divers to fish out the body but they were yet to accomplish their task.

SHO, Barhara police station, said that Reshmai Kumari, daughter of Dharmendra Singh of village Ekauna had gone to take bath in river Ganga at Ekauna ghat on August 12 morning before offering oblation to Lord Shiva on the last Monday of Shrawan month. But,  she was swept away in the fast current of the river while taking a dip and was drowned. The villagers immediately informed Barhara police station about the incident. Plice along with divers rushed to the spot. The divers were, however, still to fish out the body.
