Buxar : Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead a man near village Paida under Rajpur police station in Buxar district on August 11, 2019, late evening, and escaped. The deceased was identified as Amit Kumar, 28, son of Lal Babu Singh of village Thodi Pandeypur under Buxar Town police station.
Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Rajpur police station and police are investigating the case and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
Buxar SP Shailesh Kumar said that some unidentified armed miscreants intercepted Amit Kumar near Paida village under Rajpur police station around 10pm on August 11, 2019, when he was going to his native village Thodi Pandeypur in his Wagon R and shot him dead. Hearing the sound, the villagers rushed to the spot but the miscreants had escaped by that time.
