Teenage girl raped, killed at Bhojpur village

Ara : Some persons strangulated to death a teenage girl after outraging her modesty at village Semara  under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district recently. The girl was missing since January 31, 2018, and her father had lodged an FIR against two persons for kidnapping her.

Police recovered the body and brought it to Ara Sadar hospital for post-mortem on February 7, 2018. Police also arrested Balwant Singh of village Vindgawa under Barhara police station in this connection and forwarded him to jail.

The father of the deceased had lodged an FIR with Barhara police station against two persons charging them with kidnapping of his daughter. SHO, Barhara police station, Kundan Kumar, said that the girl was missing since January 31, 2018, and her father lodged an FIR against two persons in connection of kidnapping of his daughter after he failed to locate her.

During search, police arrested Balwant Singh of village Semara under Barhara police station who confessed his involvement in outraging the modesty and murder of the girl. On his information, police recovered the body of the girl from diara area and brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
