Teenage girl raped at Buxar village

Buxar : A named FIR was lodged with Woman police station, Buxar, on March 26, 2018, evening against Mantu Pathak of village Pathakwalia under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district, for allegedly raping a teenage girl of mahadalit community of the village on March 22, 2018.

SHO, Woman Police Station, Kanchan Kumari, said that a teenage girl of mahadalit community of Pathakwalia village under Dhansoi police station in Buxar district had gone to the field to attend call of nature on March 22 when Mantu Pathak of the village forcibly took her to a secluded place and outraged her modesty. It was also alleged that Mantu Pathak had threatened the girl with dire consequences if she dared tell anyone about the incident. She, however, narrated her ordeal to her family members who remained silent for five days before lodging an FIR in this connection on March 26. The SHO said that police were investigating into the incident.
