Buxar : Fast Track Court I, Buxar, on March 27, 2018, acquitted all the named accused in the alleged murder of a married woman Neetu Devi for dowry and ordered for their release them from the jail.
Buxar police had lodged an FIR against Neetu’s husband Om Prakash Yadav, his father Vakil Yadav, mother Surmila Devi and two sisters in 2016 on the statement of Neetu Devi given while undergoing treatment at Buxar Sadar Hospital. Later, she died during treatment. Police had lodged an FIR in connection with dowry death and also submitted their report in the court.
After hearing both the parties, the court observed that Neetu Devi had died due to typhoid and was not killed for dowry by her in-laws and husband. The court acquitted all the named accused in the case.
