Hajipur : A 17 year old girl was gangraped by two persons at Hela Baza area under Town Police Station, Hajipur, in Vaishali district in the wee hours on October 22, 2017. Confirming the incident, Vaishali SP Rakesh Kumar said that one of the two accused was arrested after the survivor lodged complaint with police.
The SP said that the girl, who works as a domestic help at the house of an advocate at Patna, had got down from train at Hajipur railway station on October 21 late night. She boarded an auto at the auto stand at Hajipur railway station en route Patna. But, she was instaed taken to an isolated place at Hela Bazaar where she was raped by the two accused including the auto driver. SP Kumar said that the girl was coming from Chhapra in Saran district.
SHO, Town Police Staion, Hajipur, said that the medical examination of the girl was done at Sadar Hospital, Hajipur. He said that the girl was not giving the address and mobile phone number of her parents. Her father is a farm labourer, he said. The SHO said that although the auto driver had not yet been arrested but his accomplice has been arrested. He said that the two accused also belong to Saran district but were living at Hajipur. But, the girl did not know them, the SHO added.
