Teenage boy shot dead at Bhojpur village

Ara: Ujjwal Rai, 17, was shot dead at village Devchanda under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on November 17  evening. Later, police brought the body to  Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police also recovered a blank cartridge from the spot.

The SHO, Piro police station, said that police had recovered body of Jitendra Rai, father of Ujjwal Rai, from Jagdishpur police station area in Bhojpur district about six months ago. A named FIR was lodged with Jagdishpur police station against seven persons on the statement of Munni Devi, wife of Jitendra Rai, and all the named accused were arrested and sent to jail. After the death of her husband, Munni Devi was living at Ara with her three children. She along with her children had gone to village Devchanda three days back for harvesting of crops. On November 17 late evening, some armed persons entered her house and shot dead Ujjwal Rai when he was sitting at his house and escaped.
