Patna: Members of Prabandhak Committee, Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, submitted a memorandum to BJP national chief Amit Sah during his visit to the Temple on January 10.
Through the memorandum, Committee general secretary Sarjinder Singh said Patna Sahib is the birthplace of Dashmesh Pita Sri Guru Govind Singh Ji Maharaj. He said that prior to that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Maharaj had also visited this pious place. Singh said that lakhs of Sikh devotees had assembled in Patna during the just concluded 350th Prakashtosav and pilgrims would continue to pour in here. He said that the devotees have a lot of problem in reaching Patna Sahib from Patna.
The Committee general secretary said that in view of huge rush in 12317/12318 Akal Takht Express and delay in getting reservation, this particular train should be run daily. He said that 12325/26 Gurumukhi Express should stop at Patna Sahib as it would directly link Patna Sahib to Sri Anandpur Sahib and arrangements should be made to increase the quota of two bogie sleeper and one bogie three AC sleeper. It would also help Indian Railways in getting revenue, he pointed out. The general secretary said that 17609 Patna-Hujur Sahib Nander Poorna Express should start from Patna Sahib.
