Tai Tzu & Okuhara to clash Danisa Denmark Open final

Patna : World No 1 Tai Tzu Ying, 25, Chinese Taipei, and World No 4 Nozomi Okuhara, 24, Japan, will clash in the final of Danisa Denmark Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour event, at Odense, Denmark, on October 20, 2019.

Third seed Okuhara, the 2017 World Champion, edged past reigning Olympic Champion and three-time former World Champion Carolina Marin, 26, Spain, in a three-game thriller 18-21, 21-12, 21-16 battling back after losing the first game in the semi-finals in 75 minutes at Odense Sportspark, Denmark. Okuhara won 60 rallies in the match to 49 by Marin. Both the players won 6 consecutive points each in the match. Okuhara and Marin are now locked 7-7 Head to Head.

Fourth seed Tai Tzu entered the final after her semi-final opponent and 2nd seed Chen Yu Fei, 21, China, retired due to injury in the second game trailing 14-21, 11-14 after 32 minutes. Tai Tzu now leads Yu Fei, the World No 3, 14-1 Head to Head.
