World No 1 Tai Tzu Ying beat World No 18 Mia Blichfeldt, 23, Denmark, in straight games 21-8, 23-21 in semi-finals in 34 minutes at Bangkok, Thailand, on January 16, 2021, to set up a clash with Marin Final. Tai Tzu won 44 rallies in the match to 20 by Mia Blichfeldt. She won 6 consecutive points to 5 by the Dane. Tai Tzu now leads Mia 2-0 Head to Head.
Earlier, Marin had defeated 7th seed An Se Young, 18, South Korea, 21-18, 21-16 in 51 minutes in first semi-finals the same day.
