Patna : Sweden entered the quarter-finals (QF) of FIFA World Cup 2018 defeating Switzerland 1-0 in the Round of 16 match at Saint Petersburg Stadium, Russia, on July 3. Sweden were runners up in 1958 World Cup and had finished third in 1994.
Midfielder Emil Forsberg scored the winning goal for Sweden in the 66th minute. Switzerland have never won a World Cup knock out match. Switzerland’s Defender Michal Lang was shown Red card in the match and was sent out.
