Muzaffarpur: Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya(KV), Muzaffarpur, Rajiv Ranjan, who was recently suspended in the wake of brutal assault on a Class XII student  Uttam Kumar Unnat by two students, both siblings,  in the presence of other five  students in the classroom on August 25, 2016, will be arrested.

SSP, Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar, said that the order to arrest Rajiv Ranjan had been issued after thorough probe into the entire episode. DM Dharmendra Singh has warned of stern action if any such incident takes place at any government or private school.

City DSP Ashish Anand said that Rajiv Ranjan and five other students would be arrested immediately and sent to jail. Police have filed charegesheet in the court against the two main accused, who were arrested soon after the video of the August 25 incident went viral on October 8/9, 2016. Uttam Kumar was given a compensation of Rs 75,000 on October 20. Force has been deployed on the school campus. Meanwhile, CCTV cameras have been installed at the main gate, corridor and commonroom of the school.
