Patna : Bihar Government on September 26, 2017, appointed Sunil Kumar Jha, a 1993 batch IPS officer and IG, Anti- Terrorist Squad (ATS) , as the IG, Darbhanga Zone. Darbhanga IG Umashankar Sudhanshu will retire on September 30, 2017. Pankaj Kumar Darad, an IPS officer of 1995 batch and IG ( Provision), Bihar, has been given additional charge of IG, ATS. The Home (Police) department issued a notification to this effect on September 26. The notification will come into force from October 1, 2017.
