Rival groups resort to firing at Saharsa village over water rate

Saharsa : Rival groups fired around over one hundred rounds over Jal Kar (water rate) right at village Sukhasan under Simribakhtiarpur Block inside Kosi Embankment in Saharsa district on September 26, 2017, afternoon. The village falls undr Kanaria police oupost (OP). Paro Yadav and Siyasharan Yadav resorted to indiscriminate firing at each other at village Sukhasan though no one was injured in the incident.

Although the Incharge, Kanaria OP, Dharmbir Sathi, said that he reached the spot with force after receiving the report about firing there and brought the situation under control but both Paro Yadav and Siyasharan Yadav had fled the scene. Police seized more than a dozen empty cartridges from the spot. He said that police were conducting raids at different places to arrest Paro Yadav, Siyasharan Yadav and their supporters.
