Bagaha: Altogether 364 panchayat level promoters of Sunahara Sapna Kendra of Uttar Bihar Kshetriya Gramin bank regional office, Bagaha, in West Champaran, proceeded on strike and forcibly locked the bank paralysing its functioning on Thursday.

The promoters staged a dharna at the bank gate. Sunahara Sapna Kendra Promoters union president Maqbul Alam said that the Kshetriya Gramin bank had recruited them four years back at a monthly remuneration of Rs 3,500 and asked them to function as “Sunahara Sapna Kendra” in the rural areas for bank loan recovery, deposits and payment to  costomors but now the bank officials threaten to remove them.

Vijay Kant Jha, regional manager of  Uttar Bihar Kshatriya gramin bank, Bagaha, said that they are not the bank employees and had forcibly locked the bank office paralysing its functioning. The bank authorities had been informed about this development, Jha said.
