Sudhir Kumar made Spl Divisional Commissioner, Purnia

Patna : Bihar government on August 18, 2017, appointed Sudhir Kumar, Principal Secretary, Agriculture, as Special Divisional Commissioner, Purnia, for the flood period. A 1988 batch IAS officer, Sudhir Kumar, will control and monitor flood relief and rehabitilation works under Purnia division. He also holds additional charge of Principal Secretary, Minor Watar Resources Department. The General Administration Department issued a notification to this effect on August 18.

It may be mentioned here that the flood had claimed 23 lives in Araria district, 11 in Kishanganj, 5 in Punia and 7 in Katihar districts, all under Purnia division, till August 17, 2017.
