Lakhisarai DM, SDO shifted, Buxar gets new DM

Patna : Bihar government on August 18, 2017, evening transferred DM, Lakhisarai, Awanish Kumar Singh, a 2010 batch IAS officer. He has been kept waiting for posting asked to give his joining to the General Administration Department (GAD). Amit Kumar, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) cum Chief Executive Officer, District Board, Bhagalpur, has been appointed new DM of Lakhisarai. Amit Kumar is a 2012 batch IAS officer.

Arvind Kumar Verma, DDC cum Chief Executive Officer, District Board, Muzaffarpur, has been appointed new DM of Buxar. The post of Buxar DM had fallen vacant following suicide by incumbent Mukesh Pandey recently. Verma is a 2012 batch IAS officer. Ms Shailja Vema, a 2013 batch IAS officer and SDO, Lakhisarai, too has been transferred and appointed DDC cum Chief Executive Officer, District Board, Muzaffarpur. The GAD issued a notification to this effect on August 18.
