Students resent delay in BEd admission, lock VKSU administrative block

Ara : Hundreds of students locked the administrative block of the Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, and also staged a day long dharana in front of the office of the Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, on March 12, 2018, in protest against the dilly dallying attitude of the university administration to admit students in the BEd course in different BEd colleges as well as the university despite several seats lying vacant.

Avinash Rao, President of Chhatra JD(U), VKSU unit, alleged largescale irregularities in  different BEd colleges under the university. He alleged that some committee members of the B Ed colleges had realized good amount from the students in the name of admission. He said if the university administration did not allow admission against the vacant seats, they would be compelled to launch an aggressive agitation.

VC, VKSU, Sayyed Mumtazuddin, refuted all the charges and said that admission in B Ed colleges was going on as per rule. The VC said that the students who failed to clear the admission test were hue and cry levelling false allegations.
