Station Master, Zamania Railway station, shot dead at home

Buxar : Station Master, Zamania Railway Station under Danapur division Railway of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, Manbodhan Singh, was shot dead at his house at village Turupchakia under Buxar Muffassil police station in Buxar district by some unidentified criminals late January 18 night.

Some unidentified armed criminals entered the house of a Station Master Manbodhan Singh at Turupchakia village around midnight on January 18 and shot him dead when he was sleeping and escaped. The family members  rushed him to Buxar Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained. An FIR has been lodged with Buxar Muffassil police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Buxar Muffassil Police Station, said that Manbodhan Singh, a resident of Turupchakia village, was posted as Station Master at Zamania railway station. He usually returned home after duty. On January 18, he returned from duty to his native village and was sleeping with his elder son when some unidentified criminals broke into his house and shot him dead though his son could not see them.
