Patna : Sri Lanka (SL) beat Bangladesh by 122 runs in the 3rd ODI at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka, to win the three-match series 3-0. Chasing a target of 295 runs, Bangladesh were all out for 172 in 36 overs with Soumya Sarkar scoring 69 in 86 balls hitting 5 fours and a six and Taijul Islam scoring an unbeaten 39 in 28 balls with 5 fours and a six. Opener Tamim Iqbal ( captain) fell to Kasun Rajitha for 2.

For SL, medium fast bowler Dasun Shanaka took 3/27 in 6 overs while Kasun Rajitha took 2/17 in 5 overs. Lahiru Kumara took 2/26 in 5 overs while Akila Danajaya and Wanidu Hasaranga took one wicket each.

Earlier electing to bat after winning the toss, SL scored 294/8 in 50 overs with Angelo Mathews scoring 87 in 90 balls hitting 8 fours and a six while Kusal Mendis scored 54 in 58 balls with 5 fours and a six. Opener Dumuth Karunaratne (captain) scored 46 with 6 fours while Kusal Perera (wk) scored 42 with 5 fours. Dasun Shanaka made 30 with 2 fours and 2 sixes.

Angelow Mathews was declared Player of Match as well as Player of the Series.
