Patna : Sri Lanka (SL) were 263/6 in 86.3 overs at stumps on Day 2 in their first innings in 1st Test against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Stadium, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on December 12, 2019. Dhananjaya de Silva was unbeaten on 72 in 131 balls with 11 fours while Dilruwal Perera was batting on 2.

Sri Lanka lost only one wicket that of Nirosha n Dickwella (wk) on the day after resuming at their overnight score of 202/5. Dickwella fell to fast bowler Shaheen Afridi for 33 in 63 balls with 4 fours.

Play was abandoned for the day due to rain and bad light with play possible for only 18.3 oversonly . In the first session, only 47 balls could be bowled. Play resumed after more than three hours but was stopped again after sometime due to rain.
