Patna : Sri Lanka (SL) were 251/8 after 78 overs at tea in their first innings in 2nd test against Pakistan on Day 2 at National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan, on December 20, 2019, with Dulruwan Perea unbeaten on 35 in 59 balls hitting 3 fours and a six and medium pacer Vishwa Fernando yet to score. Sri Lanka lead by 60 runs. Pakistan were all out for 191 runs in their first innings.
SL lost two wickets that of NIroshan Dickwella (wk) and Dinesh Chandimal in the second session of play on Day 2 scoring 81 runs. Chandimal and Dickwella added 37 runs for the 7th wicket. Chandimal then added 51 runs with Dilruwan Perea. Dickwella fell to Mohammad Abbas for 21 making it 184/7. Chandimal fell to part-time bowler Haris Sohail for 74 in 143 balls hitting 10 fours making it 235/8.
