Patna : Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scored 231/2 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 11th match of IPL-12 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, their highest score in the IPL history with both its openers : David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, scoring centuries hitting fours and sixes at will destroying the RCB bowlers. Warner and Bairstow added 185 for the first wicket, the highest opening stand in IPL history breaking the 184 run record of Gautam Gambhir & Chris Lynn (KKR) against GL made in 2017. It was also SRH’s highest stand for any wicket in the IPL.
It was Bairstow’s first IPL century made in 52 balls while Warner scored his 4th IPL century. Chris Gayle has scored 6 centuries in IPL. RCB had won the toss but opted to bowl. Bairstow (wk) scored 114 in 56 balls with 12 fours and 7 sixes while Warner an unbeaten 100 in 55 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes.
