Patna : Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) inflicted a crushing 118 defeat on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 11th match of IPL-12 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, with spinner Mohd. Nabi taking 4/11 in 4 overs and pacer Sandeep Sharma taking 3/19 in 3.5 overs. Three RCB players were run out. Jonny Bairstow was named Player of the Match.
Chasing a mammoth target of 232 runs, the star studded RCB team, which included captain Virat Kohli, A B de Villiers, Moeen Ali, Shimron Hetmyer, and Colin de Grandhomme, were bundled out for a paltry 113 runs only. Interestingly, RCB had won the toss but opted to bowl but the match result clearly showed Kohli had read the pitch wrong.

RCB lost their first wicket that of opener Parthiv Patel when the score was 13. Patel fell to Nabi for 11. RCB were 35/6 but Colin de Grandhomme and Prayas Barman steadied the innings with their 51 runs stand for the 7th wicket. Barman fell to Sharma for 19 making it 86/7. Umesh Yadav was run out for 14 making it 103/8. Grandhomme was also run out for 37 with 3 fours and 2 sixes making it 109/9.
Batting first, SRH had scored 231/2 with Jonny Bairstow scoring 114 in 56 balls hitting 12 fours and 7 sixes and David Warner scoring an unbeaten 100 in 55 balls hitting 5 fours and 5 sixes.
