Spain – Morocco Gr B match in World Cup ends in 2-2 draw

Patna :  A FIFA World Cup Group B match between Spain and Morocco ended in a 2-2 draw at Kaliningrad Stadium, Russia, late June 25, 2018, night. Isco and Lago Aspas were the scorers for Spain while Khalid Boutaib and Yuessef En-Nesyri scored goals for Morocco. Spain have finished the group stage matches unbeaten for the first time since 2006 when they had won all their three matches.

Morocco led 1-0 after striker Khalid  Boutaib scored first goal of the match in the 14th minute. It was Morocco’s first goal of the tournament. But, Spain’s striker Isco scored the equaliser in the 19th minute making it 1-1. At half-time, the score was 1-1. Four Morocco players were shown yellow cards in the fist half of the match.

Morocco took 2-1 lead when substitute Youssef En-Nesyri scored goal through a header  in the 81st minute. But, Spain soon made it 2-2 when Lago Aspas scored goal in the 91st minute.
