Patna : Portugal – Iran Group B match in FIFA World Cup ended in 1-1 draw at Mordovia Arena, Russia, late June 25, 2018, night. Portugal midfielder Ricardo Quaresma scored the first goal of the match in the 45th minute to give country 1-0 lead. Substitute Karim Ansarifard scored the equaliser through penalty for Iran in the 93rd minute to make it 1-1.

Portugal have progressed from the group stage for the fourth time in the World Cup while Iran have been eliminated in the group stage. Iran have been eliminated in the group stage all the five time they have competed in the World Cup. Portugal captain and striker Cristiano Ronaldo was shown yellow card in the match.
