Patna : Sourabh Verma, 26, India, has jumped 6 places to be ranked World No 38 with 34,839 points in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on August 13, 2019, after winning the Hyderabad Open title last week. But, his younger brother Sameer Verma, India, has dropped one position to be ranked World No 14 with 51,389 points. Kidambi Srikanth, India, remains static had World No 10 with 61,970 points.

Kento Momota ( 1,03,118 points), Japan, Chou Tien Chen (86, 698 points), Chinese Taipei, Shi Yu Qi (83, 301 points), China, Jonatan Christie ( 72,058 points), Indonesia,  remain World No 1, 2, 3 & 4 respectively in the BWF rankings while reigning Olympic Champion Chen Long, China,  remains 5th 70,670 points. Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, is World No 6 with 69,508 points.

B Sai Praneeth, India, remains static at World No 19 with 45,200 points while H S Prannoy and  Parupalli Kashyap, both India, have jumped 1 place each to be ranked World No 30 ( 38,335 points) and World No 31 ( 37,310 points)  respectively. Subhankar Dey, India, has dropped two places and is ranked World No 41 (34,130 points). Lakshya Sen, India, had slipped 4 places and is ranked World No 74 with 22,680 points.
