Ara : Two unidentified miscreants entered the house of Santosh Kumar, 35, in Badi Mathia locality under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district on September 5, 2018, morning, and shot him dead. An FIR was  lodged with Ara Town police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.

SHO, Ara Town Police Station, said that two persons entered the house of Santosh Kumar, son of Shyam Narayan Singh, in Badi Mathia locality on September 5 morning on the pretext of talking to him. As Santosh Kumar’s wife went inside the to make tea for the guests, the miscreants pumped bullets into the head of Santosh Kumar and escaped killing him on the spot.

Shyam Narayan Singh, a retired teacher and father of the deceased, said that he was sleeping when a call came on his mobile. When he opened the door, two unidentified persons entered the house saying that they wanted to talk to Santosh Kumar. He said that hearing the gun shot he rushed to the Santosh Kumar’s room and saw his body lying on floor in a pool of blood.
