Patna : Opting to bat after winning the toss, Sri Lanka (SL) scored 146/5 in 20 overs in the 3rd T20I against India at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, on February 27, 2022, night, as captain Danush Shanaka scored a blistering 74 in only 38 balls hitting 9 fours and 2 sixes,
Shanaka and fast medium bowler Chamika Karunaratne added 86 runs in just 47 balls in their unbroken partnership for the 6th wicket. SL scored 69 runs in last 5 overs. SL had terrible though scoring just 18 runs in the power playing losing 3 wickets and were 43/4 after 10 overs. Shanaka, as in the 2nd T20I, steadied the innings with Chamika Karunaratne, who remained unbeaten on 12.
For India, fast medium bowler Avesh Khand took 2/23 in 4 overs. Mohd Siraj, Ravi Bishnoi, and Harshal Patel took one wicket each.
