Muzaffarpur : The Junior Doctors (JDs) of Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, who went on lightning strike late on April 20, 2017, night after relatives and attendants of a patient allegedly assaulted some of their colleagues, set ablaze three ambulances of the hospital and blocked NH 77. The road blockade forced the villagers to protest the action of the JDs. The JDs allegedly also set afire a few shops located near SKMCH.

Muzaffarpur DM and SSP are camping on the spot but the situation is tense there. The JDs  are demanding protection for themselves against frequent assault on them by the attendants of different patients. The Junior Doctors strike paralysed the medicare services at SKMCH on April 21.
