Bhagalpur : At least six persons were killed including a child and four others were seriously injured when a overloaded three-wheeler collided head on with a truck coming from opposite direction on Pirpaiti – Barahhat state highway in Bhagalpur district on Sunday under Ishipur-Barahhat police station . All the injured were admitted to Bhagalpur medical college hospital. According to unconfirmed report, eight persons died in the accident.
DSP Ramanand Kumar said that the accident occurred when a three wheeler in which they were travelling rammed into a truck coming from opposite direction . The driver of the truck escaped from the spot . Bhagalpur DM has granted Rs 4 lakh each to the kin of the deceased. The police lodged a case against the truck driver and seized the truck.
