Patna: The CBI has begun investigation into Siwan journalist Rajdeo Ranjan murder case.  Siwan police handed over all the documents related the case to the CBI on September 16. Rajdeo was shot dead by some criminals at Siwan on May 13, 2016, when he was returning home from office. An eight -member CBI team reached Siwan on September 16.

Rajdeo was the Siwan Bureau chief of Hindi daily Hindustan. The local police had lodged an FIR on the statment of Rajdeo’s wife Asha Ranjan and arrested six persons in connection with the murder. The CBI sleuths also quizzed the arrested persons in jail, accrding to sources.
