Sitamarhi: A protest march led by youths and students was taken out in Sitamarhi town on Thursday to condemn September 18 terrorists’ attack on an army camp at Uri in J &K. The protesters were raising slogans against Pakistan and forced the shop- keepers to close their shops.

But, some shop-keepers did not heed to their request which led to heated exchange and even scuffle between them and protesters near Mehsaul Chowk. The district administration officials led by DM Rajiv Raushan and SP Hari Prasath S reached there swiftly and chased away the unruly protesters with the help of police force. Talking to newsmen, the DM said that a dozen protesters were detained in this connection and conspiracy angle was also investigated into.
