Sindhu wins, Saina suffers defeat in China Open Super Series

Patna : World Number 2 women Badminton player P V Sindhu, India, defeated Han Y of China 21-15, 21-13 to enter the quarter final of China Open Super Series Premier on November 16, 2017, at Fuzhou, China. World Number 1 Tai T Y, Cinese Taipei, defeated Kajaesfeldt L, Denmark, 21-18, 21-15, to move into the quarter final. But, World Number 11 Saina Nehwal, India, lost to World Number 4 Akane Yamaguchi, Japan, 18-21, 11-21 in the second round.

In the Men’s section, World Number 1 Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, defeated Qiao B, China, 21-12, 21-14, to move into the quarter final of the event. H S Pranoy, India, the World Number 11, lost to Lee C Y, Hongkong, 19-21, 17-21  in the second round.
