Patna : World Champion P V Sindhu and World No 11 Saina Nehwal, both India, crashed out of Perodua Malaysia Masters, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 event, at Kualalumpur, Malaysia, losing their respective quarter-finals matches on January 10, 2020.
Top seed and World No 2 Tai Tzu Ying, Chinese Taipei, beat World No 6 P V Sindhu, the 6th seed, in straight games 21-16, 21-16 in 36 minutes in quarter-finals at Axiata Arena, Kualalumpur, to enter the SFs. Tai Tzu won 42 rallies in the match to 32 by Sindhu. Both the players won 5 consecutive points each in the match. Tai Tzu now leads Sindhu 12-5 Head to Head.
Defending Champion Carolina Marin, Spain, crushed Saina Nehwal, India, 21-8, 21-7 in only 30 minutes to enter the SFs. Carolina won 42 rallies in the match to 15 by Saina.
