Simon & Anderson to clash in Tata Open Maharashtra finals

Patna : Unseeded and World Number 89 Gilles Simon of France stunned Number 1 seed and World Number 6 Marin Cilic, Croatia, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-finals to reach the finals of  Tata Open Maharashtra at Pune on January 5, 2018. Simon will meet Number 2 seed Kevin Anderson of South Africa, who beat World Number 41 Benoit Paire, France, 6-7, 7-6, 6-1, in the other semi-finals. Tata Open Maharashtra is an ATP 250 event played on Hard Courts. Anderson, the World Number 14,  had reached finals of UP Open in 2017.
