Sharad Yadav to attend SP rally at Lucknow

From RJD, its president Lalu Prasad will attend the rally. But JD(U) president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar clarified he would not attend the rally.The RJD president explained he has not received any offer from SP to be apart of the proposed Grand Alliance in UP. Invitation is limited only to the November 5 rally, he said. Tyagi too said Samajwadi party has not sent any invitation to JD(U) to join the proposed alliance in UP. He said Mulayam Singh Yadav should take an initiative for alliance and send formal offer to JD(U).

Nitish Kumar is not enthusiastic about the electoral alliance in UP and said any grand alliance in UP would succeed only if the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj party come together.

JD(U)’s participation was under doubt as both Nitish and Tyagi had earlier declared JD(U) would not participate in the rally. Nitish had regretted the invitation was not sent by Muayam but UP state unit chief Shivpal Yadav. Both Mulayam and Nitish are presidents of the national units of their parties.
