Several cartons of IMFL seized from a house at Bhojpur village, 1 held

Ara : Police, on a tip off, conducted raids at village Narayanagadh under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on March 7, 2019, and seized several cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a house and also arrested a liquor smuggler Vakil Chaudhary from the spot.

A named FIR has been lodged with Piro police station in this connection and police sent Vakil Chaudhry to jail after interrogation. Police are still counting the number of IMFL bottles. They are also conducting raids to arrest other liquor smugglers.

SHO, Piro police station, Anil Kumar said that he had received information that some liquor smugglers were storing IMFL to sale the same during Holi and parliamentary elections. He along with police force immediately conducted raids at village Narayanagadh village and arrested a liquor smuggler Vakil Chaudhary and also seized IMFL in large quantity from his house.
