Patna: Seven students of College of Arts and Crafts, Patna University, were injured in an attack by some miscreants on Tuesday when they were protesting the holding of their examination alleging the university and college administration had breached the agreement reached with the students in this regard. The injured students were admitted to emergency ward of Patna medical college and hospital (PMCH).
Bihar unit of CPI while condemning the incident alleged that the students were attacked by the supporters of the acting principal of the college in the presence of police who remained were silent spectators. CPI state secretary Satyanarayan Singh informed the state home secretary and DGP about the incident and asked them to intervene in the matter. Singh alleged that Inspector of Pirbahore police station, Patna, Nisar Ahmad, misbehaved with the injured students at PMCH and tried to take them to the police station. Singh alleged that the officer incharge of Pirbahore PS refused to register the FIR of the injured students.
