Motihari :  East Champaran police on Tuesday arrested one Shabhu Sahni in connection with murder Tara Nisha, 35 , an  RJD  worker  and native of village Sugaow village under Sugali police station. Tara, who had contested the Motihari Zila Parishad elections, was shot dead by two criminals  on Monday night close to a gas godown near Chhapawa cross road on NH28A  on Raxaul-Motihari road when she was returning to Sugaow from Sugauli  counting centre on a motorcycle. She was pillion rider  on the bike driven by Bablu Sahni, her election agent.

Two motorcycle borne criminals over took her motorcycle and opened fire on her resulting in to her death on the spot. Police has arrested  one Shambhu Sahni of Raghunathpur village in connection with Tara’s murder, who had contested  the Zila Parishad  election from ward number 6 of Sugauli. She lost to one Anita Devi  around 7  pm on Monday. After
the counting of votes she was returning to Sugaowon a motor cycle with her election agent DSP Pankaj Rawat reached the place of occurrence with police force and  after medical examination her body was brought to  Motihari sadar hospital for post- mortem.

The brother of the deceased Bhulan Mian  has lodged a case  with Sugauli police station alleging that one Shambhu
Sahni has killed his  sister Tara Nesha. He alleged that Shambhu Sahni had abused her at Sugauli  on Monday  when counting was in progress. According to police sources, Tara Nisha was a divorcee and was living with her father at village Sugaow for the last 15 years. For the first time she had contested any election. Police are probing the case from different angles The police is investigating the case  from several  angles including a suspected love affair.
