Seven mobiles and tab seized in Buxar jail raid

Ara: Buxar police led by District Supply Officer cum Sub-Divisional Officer incharge, Shishir Kumar Mishra, on a tip off, conducted raid at Buxar central jail on Sunday and seized seven mobiles, a tab and a number of chargers and headphones from the possession of jail inmates. Police raided every cell of the jail. The mobiles and other items were seized from notorious criminals Chandan Mishra, Sheru Singh, Botal Mahto, Chandan Singh, Ganesh Yadav, Vishal Tiwari and Alok Thakur.

Sheru Singh had been awarded capital punishment in connection with murder of a businessman Rajendra Kesari. He and otherjailed criminals run their gangs from behind the bar freely right under the nose of jail administration. The jail officials are  either ignorant of it or overlooked them. He and others direct their associates outside the jail to commit crime and enjoy in jail. When the raid was conducted, they were found chatting with their associates on whatsApp. Shishir Kumar Mishra said that the police would take printout of call details of the seized mobiles numbers to know who the inmates were in contact with.
