Bettiah : A two-day seminar on ‘ Care and Protection of Juveniles’ got underway at collectariate meeting hall at Bettiah in West Champaran district on November 3, 2017.

About 50 personnel associated with implementation of Bihar Juvenile Justice Rules 2017 in West Champaran, East Champaran and Sheohar district are participating at the seminar organised by Assistant Director, Juvenile Care Protection unit, Bettiah, Ms Mamata jha. She said that four members of state Social Welfare Department and UNICEF : Brajesh Kumar, Shahid Javed, Shaifur Rahman and Ajay Kumar, were imparting training to the members about the rules.

DSPs, SSB officers of 21st and 44th Battalions, Bagaha and Narakatiaganj respectively in West Champaran district, besides Labour Officers, Juvenile Home Centre Superintendents, Members of Child Welfare Society and Juvenile Justice Council are participating at the seminar. Assistant Director, Juvenile Care and Protection Unit, Bettiah, Mamata Jha, said Bihar is the first among the states in the country to implement Juvenile Justice Act 2015 and made Bihar Juvenile Justice Rules 2017.
