Saharsa : The Indo-Nepal border will remain sealed during Saharsa visit of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on April 25, 2017. Security guards will be deployed on the rooftop of buildings located near Patel Maidan where Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will address a public meeting and Kuer Singh Chowk, Saharsa, where he will unveil a statue Veer Kuer Singh on the day.

Liaison Officer, Security, Government of India, and senior IPS officer S K Jha, reached Saharsa on April 22, 2017, and reviewed the security arrangements and issued necessary instructions to the officials concerned. Jha also visited Patel Maidan and asked the officials concerned not to allow any person wearing black cloths or carrying any black object at both Patel Maidan and Kuer Singh Chowk for security reasons. BJP MLA and Chairman, Veer Kuer Singh Jagran Manch,  Niraj Kumar Babloo, who is organiser of the programme,  SDO Saurabh Jorwal, ADM Anil Pandey, SDPO Subodh Kumar Biswas, Saharsa Civil Surgeon Dr Ashok Kumar Singh, SDO ( electricity) Alok Amritanshu were present at Patel Maidan.

The Union Home Minister will first land at Chunapur aerodrome and from there take off for Saharsa. When MLA Niraj Kumar Babloo demanded installation of drone cameras at the two venues, Jha suggested him to contact the union Home Ministry in this regard as its permission was mandatory.
