SDM orders probe into unlicenced medicine shops in Bagaha

Bagaha : With the SDM Office, Bagaha, receiving complaints both from rural and urban areas that a large number of medicine shops under the sub-division were running with licence and selling fake medicine, SDM Dharmendra Kumar has asked Drug Inspector, Bettiah, headquarters of West Champaran district, to inquire into the matter.

The SDM, in a communication to Drug Inspector, Bettiah, on June 17, 2017, asked him to check the licences of medicine shops and take action against the defaulters otherwise his connivance could not be ruled out.

Sources said that in 2016 raids were conducted even at Bagaha town and several medicine stores were found running without valid licence. Some of them are still running.
