Patna : World No 15 Diego Schwartzman, Argentina, orld No 22 Andrey Rublev, Russia, and World No 34 Pablo Carreno Busta, entered the quarter-finals of Erste Bank Open better known as Vienna Open at Vienna, Austria, on October 24, 2019, winning their respective second round matches.
Schwartzman edged past World No 47 Sam Querrey, USA, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 in 2 hr 40 minutes in second round coming back from behind. Querrey though hammered 23 Aces in the match to 2 by Schwartzman, the 5th seed. The Argentine won 2 break points to 1 by the American.
Busta edged past World No 57 Mikhail Kukushkin, Kazakhstan, 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 in second round. Rublev beat Hyeon Chung, South Korea, 6-4, 6-2 in second round.
