Antonsen, Christie & Rhustavito enter QFs of Yonex French Open

Patna : World No 42 Subhankar Dey, 26, India, lost to World N0 24 Shesar Hiren Rhustavito, 25, Indonesia, in the second round of Yonex French Open at Paris, France, on October 24, 2019, late night. Rhustavito beat Dey 21-6, 21-13 in 30 minutes in second round to enter QFs of the tourament.

Rhustavito won 42 rallies in the match to 19 by Dey. The Indonesian won 10 consecutive points in the match to 4 by Dey. It was first meeting between the two players.

Reigning Asian Games champion Jonatan Christie, Indonesia, beat World No 30 Lee Cheuk Yiu, Hong Kong, in a three-game thriller 17-21, 22-20, 21-15 in 67 minutes battling back from one game down to reach the QFs. Jonatan won 60 rallies in the match to 56 by Lee. Both the players won 6 consecutive points each in a row in the match. The two players are now locked 2-2 Head to Head.

World No 5 Anders Antonsen, Denmark, defeated  World No 13 Kenta Nishimoto, Japan, 21-19, 21-18 in 65 minutes to enter the QFs. Antonsen won 42 rallies in the match to 37 by the Japanese. Both of them won 4 consecutive each in the match. Antonsen now leads Nishimoto 5-1 Head to Head.
