Patna : Third seed Diego Schwartzman, 26, Argentina, beat 5th seed Taylor Fritz, 21, USA, in the final to win the Los Cabos Open title at Los Cabos, Mexico, on August 4, 2019. World No 27 Schwartzman beat World No 28 Taylor Fritz 7-6, 6-3 in 1 hr 42 minutes in the final of the hard courts tournament, an ATP 250 points event.
Schwartzman won 3 break points in the match to 2 by the American. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. Schwartzman won 45 service points to 38 by Fritz. Fritz, however, fired 5 Aces in the match to 2 by Schwartzman. The ATP rankings of both the players will improve after their performance in this tournament.
