Ara : Some armed miscreants shot dead a Primary School teacher Satyendra Kumar Singh, 42, near village Chanu Dihara under Itadhi police station in Buxar district on on July 19, 2019, when he had gone to his field before going to school.
Police recovered the body and brought it over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident.
SHO, Itadhi police station, said that Satyendra Kumar Singh was posted at Primary School, Katharia, in Buxar district. He had a plot at the village but some anti-social elements were trying to capture it. On July 19, Satyendra Kumar Singh had gone to his field before going to school when some unidentified armed miscreants fired on him killing him on the spot. It is said that three days ago, the land dispute had come to surface but police had settled the matter by counselling both the parties. Tension prevails in and around the village following the incident.
