Ara : A school teacher Sripati Kishor, son of Awadhesh Dwivedi of village Kesath under Nawanagar police station in Buxar district, was killed when his Scooty collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw near village Kaura under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district on April 16, 2019,  late evening.

Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Srpati was posted at  Middle School, Shivpur, Jagdishpur, in Bhojpur district as Incharge Headmaster and lived at Jagdishpur.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Sripati Kishor had come to Ara for training in handling Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) at H N K High School here  for the parliamentary elections to Ara PC scheduled for May 19, 2019.

After getting training, Sripati was returning to Jagdishpur on his Scooty. When he reached near village Kaura under Jagdishpur police station on Ara-Mohania NH-30, a speeding autorickshaw collided head-on with his Scooty killing him on the spot. He was survived by his wife Sangeeta Dwivdi, daughter Katyayani Nandini, and son Varad Shayan Nandan.
